Still have questions? We get it, here's all the nitty gritty.

What's the lodging set up like?

It's like a girls trip where everyone is in the same house. You'll pick your room and roommate situation to your comfort level. Want the full relaxation package with a private room and bathroom, we got you! Want to bring and friend and split with them? Done! Have a group of 3 or 4 and all want one room? The King with bunks room is yours. And for our folks who love all the people and want the cheapest cost, the bunk room is a great option.

What is the bunk room set up?

The bunk room has 2 queen beds, 3 double beds, and 2 twins with an en-suite built for that many people. Two showers, 3 sinks, and 2 toilets so no one is stuck waiting in line.

What if I want to make sure my group of friends gets a specific room?

We get it - you wanna make sure you and your people get the space that's right for you. All room and beds open at the same time. All your friends can go in and reserve your spots at the same time or one of you can pay the deposits for everyone in the group in one order and work out the payments between yourselves. The second is likely the safest option but you do whatever feels right to you!

What's the massage and facial situation?

Everyone has the option to add-on a massage or facial with Seaside Mobile Massage. They'll come to the house we're staying at and set-up all their supplies for the ultimate relaxation add-on. You can add-on a 60 minute massage for $120, a 90-minute massage for $180, a 30-minute facial for $80 or an approximately 60-minute Cleansing Facial for $120. You'll pay for your massage or facial and tip with the therapist directly but we'll set up and schedule everything.

Is the massage/facial private?

While we are in a shared house, we do our best to keep the massage areas as private as possible. They'll be set up in communal spaces in the upper floors of the house so no one is kicked out of their room and those communal areas will be "closed" during the massage time so people won't be hanging out in those areas. It's as private as an experience as we can create without taking over a room.

What's the menu?

While the exact menu is set closer to the date to accommodate dietary and lifestyle needs, here's an example of each meal:

Breakfast - bacon, breakfast casserole, yogurt parfaits, biscuits, waffles, and bagels. And mimosas. Always.

Lunch - burgers, sandwiches, chips, potato salad, pasta salad, roll ups, fruit, pizza, soup, and grilled cheese. And we'll have plenty of beers, seltzers, waters, and sodas.

Dinners - heavy charcuterie boards, pasta, poppyseed chicken, salad, bread, and tacos. Each night includes a custom cocktail themed to the book or the meal - who doesn't want a margarita with their tacos?!

Snacks and Desserts - we always stock the kitchen with your favorite snack and sweet treats! Whatever you tell us is what we'll have!

I can't find a friend to come with me. Will it be awkward?

Nope! We have people come solo all the time and they often mention to us what a warm and welcoming experience they had. We've had many folks start as solo attendees who become repeat campers because they found their people!

What types of activities are there?

We know not everyone can sit around and just read all day! We include plenty of crafts and activities like friendship bracelets, puzzles, mahjong games, movie nights, walks or hikes, trips to local bookstores, and more!

What if I'm introverted and don't want to do *all the things*?

No worries! We intentionally refer to our itinerary as a "choose your own adventure" so that you can feel free to do anything you like. Some people join everything, some people join nothing, and some people pick and choose. Our book camps are meant to give you what you need, not social anxiety! And we all support as many naps as you want to take!

When do we discuss the book?

We always discuss the book towards the end of camp, typically on the last day over brunch. If you don't finish, you can join the discussion knowing their may be spoilers or you can skip and we'll bring you breakfast on your own!

I have another question I don't see answered! Help!

Hey, we get it. We try to think of everything but might be missing something. Feel free to DM us on Instagram over @theliterarywives and we'll answer your specific question ASAP.
